We had a lovely time, the accommodation was great and as with last year the kids loved the Dunas Douradas pool!

Yes, we really enjoyed our time in Fairways. We have stayed there many times over the years and were keen to see the new improvements. All in all our holiday was fabulous as usual.

I'm just writing to say thanks so much for all your help with our holiday. We had a really great time and thoroughly enjoyed the villa and general set-up in Dunas Douradas. The villa was a great size for the 4 of us, really clean and well equipped and the maid service 3 times a week was brilliant. It was our first trip to the Algarve but we found it the perfect combination of relaxing at the villa pool, local beaches and then activities further afield (helped by your handy guides for things to do and restaurants to eat in). We will definitely be back!

Wow - what can I say about Villa 651 - we are a family who's ages ranges from 16-70 years old and everyone was taken aback by the villa. There really was something for everyone. The photos do not do justice to this place - clearly we could see from the images that it was spacious with big outside space but the gardens really do go on forever and so many "secret" places to lose yourself (or the kids!). The pool is the biggest we have ever had in any villa. Everything about this villa was good quality and we felt like we were staying in a 5 * resort. On arrival the place was spotlessly clean and it was kept this way all week by the maid who was very unobtrusive and worked hard. There are some personal items of the owners which gave the villa a very homely feel. The weather was kind to us on most days so we didn't use the inside space very much - however it was lovely to sit at night and chill out in the large TV room (plenty of English channels) where there was plenty of space for us all to sit. We've often used villas which are only just equipped enough for a large group of people - however this place had an enormous amount of pots, pans, cutlery and glasses etc - you really would never run out of stuff and the nice thing was it was all good quality - i.e. Sharp knives and good cooking pans! which makes a pleasant change as we cook a lot. The beds were firm but not uncomfortable and we all slept well. The Vale Do Lobo area was a bit too quiet for us at this time of the year (October) and we were often the only people in the bars and cafes which was a shame as it lacked atmosphere but I'm sure its heaving in the summer. Nichola had given us a helpful list of phone numbers and places to visit. We used a taxi company recommend by Nichola - which were based in Almancil. Paula spoke excellent English and the taxis were reasonably priced and always on time. We used the taxi to get to the nearest large supermarket, however there is a reasonable supermarket at the main entrance to Vale Do Lobo called Pingo Doce which had a good range of stuff including fresh meat and veg - so we could have actually managed there instead of using the one in Almancil. Prices were pretty similar wherever you go. We had a minibus taxi one night in to Vilamoura which was 30 Euros each way and worth doing as the report was so quiet. I must also mention Nichola who has been so helpful through the whole booking process - you hear so many horror stories of villas not being as advertised, or dodgy companies - but this is not the case here at all.
