This lovely golf and leisure resort of Santo Antonio Villas, Golf & Spa (formerly Parque da Floresta) is situated in the heart of the unspoilt Western Algarve, yet only an hour’s drive from Faro airport on the motorway, and just 15 minutes from the attractive historic town of Lagos. Santo Antonio's holiday villas are all laid out on a hilltop on the boundaries of the Costa Vicentina Nature Reserve, with magnificent views over rolling countryside to the sea. Various beaches including the sandy coves of the southern coast and the quiet wilder expanses of beach on the west coast, are all a short drive away. The nearest sandy beach at Salema is only a 5 minute drive, and here you will also find a nice selection of beach restaurants including the trip advisor rated Boia and Atlantico restaurants, each with a selection of local fresh fish on the menu.

Also within a short drive of the Santo Antonio Villas, Golf & Spa, are various picturesque fishing villages with cobbled streets, bars and local restaurants, as well as the larger historic town of Lagos. Lagos has an attractive cosmopolitan marina with boat trips on offer around the dramatic cliffs and interesting coves in this area. In addition, there is an attractive pedestrianised area with good shops and restaurants. The smaller coastal towns of Luz and Sagres are nearby. Cape St Vincent, the most south-westerly point of continental Europe – a veritable ‘lands end’, is also worth a visit, especially at sunset.

The Santo Antonio villas and townhouses have traditional Portuguese designs incorporating recent architectural trends, and sit comfortably amongst the rolling hills of the stunning countryside.  The townhouses are laid out amongst pretty cobblestone lanes, lined by beautiful gardens, so all in all a lovely setting.

Free and unlimited access to the indoor heated pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room at Spa Santo Antonio*. (Please note that children under 16 years old only have access between 09.30 and 11.00 hrs and between 16.00 and 17.00 hrs and must be accompanied by an adult at all times).

Free and unlimited access to the outdoor pools at Spa Santo Antonio (the outdoor pool and children's pool are heated from May to end of October). 

Use of Health & Beauty Spa and Fitness Centre, with Spa & Beauty Treatments, and Spa Circuit with jacuzzi, indoor pool, turkish bath, sauna. GOLF SANTO ANTONIO AT PARQUE DA FLORESTA:

As a guest staying at Santo Antonio, you will receive a 40% discount on green fees at the Golf Santo Antonio Golf Course (Parque da Floresta) and also 10% discount in the Golf Shop.  The most westerly golf course in the Algarve, Golf Santo Antonio's 18 hole par 71 course was designed by the renowned Spanish golf architect Pepe Gancedo and was opened in 1987.  The course which is set amongst the rolling hills of the Costa Vicentina Nature Reserve provides an enjoyable but challenging game.  A handicap certificate is preferred.  Tailored trousers or shorts, collared shirts and Soft Spikes are required.

Fun Club Santo Antonio - For children between the ages of 3 and 12 - (Seasonal and subject to a minimum of 3 children).

Santo Antonio Sports Academy:  Tennis Academy for adults and children - (Seasonal).

Santo Antonio Golf Academy - individual and group lessons available.

Use of Tennis Courts - local charges.  The Tennis Courts can be floodlit.  Local charges, but 10% discount for guests staying at the resort.

Horse-riding, watersports and mountain biking are also available locally.

 
RESTAURANTS at Santo Antonio Villas, Golf & Spa - 10% discount for guests staying at the resort.

There are various resort dining options. The 'Spike Bar & Restaurant' has lovely panoramic views overlooking the golf course.  The Spike Bar Clubhouse offers refreshments, snacks, breakfast and light meals.  The Spike Restaurant serves continental and full English breakfast, lunch and dinner, with international cuisine combined with traditional local ingredients. It is open daily from 7.30 am until late.  The bar also offers sports TV channels.  The 'Blue Lagoon' poolside restaurant serves light meals and snacks in the high season. Vincentino's serves a choice of Italian cuisine with pizzas and pasta to eat in or take-away.  It is open daily from 6pm on a seasonal basis. A 10% discount on the restaurants and bars is available to guests staying at the resort.

For self catering, there is a supermarket at Budens which is just a couple of minutes drive way from the resort.

Food parcels can also be organised for your arrival, especially useful if you have a late flight arrival time. Check with us for details and prices. 

English breakfast can be pre-booked at the Spike Bar & Restaurant at 8 euros per day for adults, 4 euros for children aged 3-12 years, and free for children under the age of 2.
