RESORT INFORMATION
This lovely golf and leisure resort of Parque da Floresta is situated in the heart of the unspoilt Western Algarve, yet only an hour’s drive from Faro airport on the recently completed motorway. The resort is set on a hilltop on the boundaries of the Costa Vicentina Nature Reserve, with magnificent views over rolling countryside to the sea. Various beaches including the sandy coves of the southern coast and the quiet wilder expanses of beach on the west coast, are all a short drive away. The nearest sandy beach at Salema is only a 5 minute drive.

Also within a short drive are various picturesque fishing villages with cobbled streets, bars and local restaurants, as well as the larger historic town of Lagos. Lagos has an attractive cosmopolitan marina with boat trips on offer around the dramatic cliffs and interesting coves in this area. In addition, there is an attractive pedestrianised area with good shops and restaurants. The smaller coastal towns of Luz and Sagres are nearby. Cape St Vincent, the most south-westerly point of continental Europe – a veritable ‘lands end’, is also worth a visit, especially at sunset.
